Club Chair
Rob Wormald
Rob is the route master of the club. Famous for his ‘loops’ Rob knows every quiet lane and climb in the Peak District. Rob takes part in many Audax events and several sportives in the UK and abroad.
Rob has completed the Year Round Randonneur Award for completing 200km rides in 12 consecutive months.
Club Secretary
Marc Etches
Marc has been a Sheffrec member since 1991. He was elected Club Secretary in 1999 and has taken membership from just 8 to over 80 members. Originally from a MTB background Marc, now a road rider became one of only a handful of riders to win North Midlands Road Race League twice in two years.
Marc is the organiser of the Sheffield Grand Prix, Magnificent 7 and Monsal Hill Climb, chair of the White Rose Youth League and chair of British Cycling Yorkshire, member of the British Cycling Road Commission and represents the Yorkshire Region at National Council.
Marc is also a British Cycling National road commissaire and has worked as an official on the National Road Race Championships, Tour de Yorkshire and at the European Road Race Championships.
Club Treasurer
Mark Rusby
Mark is an all round great guy, a keen club cyclist who is always giving it 100%.
Mark deals with all the Sheffrec financials and makes sure everyone has paid for their kit and subs.
Club Captain
Adam Machan
Adam is our club captain for the 2019 season and is a keen road rider and more recently a time trial rider. Adam organises our Sporting Time Trial which takes place in July.
Clothing Co-ordinator
Adam Royles
Adam is in charge of our club clothing orders and liaises with Bioracer to provide us with our great looking club kit.
